The Premise
As an independent freelance creative director, I was invited by the Ontario Science Centre to pitch to them a facility rental print package, competing against two other ad agencies. I successfully bid for the project with my proposed concept that was able to exhibit the venue's unimaginable side.
Included in the media kit were venue images, floor plans, and descriptions of each space in the Science Centre used for events. My goal was to transform the technical information into a vibrant, exciting, and engaging presentation that drew users in.
Photography, typography, and colours were implemented to create impactful spread visually. I also strategically designed The architecture of the media kit itself was strategically designed to gave a hidden binding and a deep pocket for forms and inserts, plus die-cut slits for a business card. Thus the package functioned to keep everything intact and easy to carry while touring the venue or viewing the info remotely. The media kit looks like an ordinary folder from the outside, but when opened reveals something unexpected, thus creating a strong visual impact for the audience. This visual element draws a parallel connection as how the Science Centre could transform into a surprisingly beautiful event venue that brings magical experiences.
